We have already studied the "4 Ps model", as a combination of 4 different factors (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) that a business will use to increase its sales.

When a business has a good product and/or is offering a good price for a service or perhaps is moving to a new place., it needs to inform its customers.

That's the role of Promotion: inform and persuade customers to buy it.
